Hello!
I'm Emily, you can find me behind the camera. I am usually on my belly squeaking dog toys and geeking out about how amazing your pet is.
You can find me mostly in Denver, CO. Traveling is one of my biggest passions (of course not without my camera). I am always down for an adventure, so if you want to send me to Hawaii for a photoshoot, there's a pretty good chance I'll say yes!
Ever since I held my very own chunky point and shoot camera at 10 years old, I knew photography was going to be in my life forever. When I upgraded that bulky, unreliable camera not long after to my bright blue point and shoot with blinding flash, I still had no idea photography could actually be a career. As I got older I realized that not everyone becomes a doctor or a lawyer. I had this idea burned into my head that in order to be successful I had to have a fancy degree and work 9-5 and probably most holidays. I never heard "do what makes you happy" as an option. Here I am at 27 pursuing what feels so natural to me with my modern day camera and equipment. I decided to combine my love for animals and photography to spread awareness for animals still needing homes. As a result of photographing foster animals for their adoption pages, I realized taking pictures of animals truly makes me happy. Seeing how obsessed I am with my own pets, I figured I wasn't the only one dreaming of a house and social media filled with animal photos.
Specializing in pet photography allows me to pour my soul and energy into an art that makes me smile. I'm thankful to be able to explore new places, meet other pet owners, witness the most adorable moments and give belly rubs to dogs who flop on their backs. The more people I meet who love their animals as much as I do, the fuller my heart gets (and my camera's memory card).
Before a session with me I'll send you a questionnaire about your furry, scaly, hairless or feathered family member so I can learn all about their interests. I take every photoshoot on as a challenge and I keep an open mind to learn more everyday.
I'm thrilled you've made it this far. I'd love to hear from you!
